2014-2015 Special Award Recipients

Winter Sports Participants Recognized


The annual winter sports recognition ceremony was held on Thursday, March 19th in Lucas Heritage gymnasium. During a welcome and message of appreciation by Mr. Teague, the 7th grade girls' basketball team was recognized for their MBC Championship performance and presented with a t-shirt courtest of the Lucas Athletic Boosters for their efforts. Following a message by Mr. Aaron Niswander from the Athletic Boosters, Mr. Teague recognized six all-conference honorees. Maisey Granson and Rueben Luna were recognized as Honorable Mention Mid-Buckeye Conference. Averi Niswander and Jacob Miller were selected as 2nd Team Mid-Buckeye Conference, while Amanda Smollen and Jakob Gerich were honored as 1st team MBC and honorable mention all-District Division IV.



During the individual team sessions, the cheerleading program presented awards to the following students for their successful completion of the 2014-2015 season:




  • 7th Grade Certificate: Averee Carsey, Mary Dent, Kayley Hershey

  • 8th Grade Certificate: Candace Carroll, Tori Fanello, Brooke Niswander, Ashley Robertson, Emily Smollen, Erica Westfied

  • JV Certificate: Jasmine Lopez, Alexis Swainhart

  • 1st Year Letterwinner: Morgan Hershey, Erika Smith, Taylor Stamper

  • 2nd Year Letterwinner: Alivia Carsey, Amber Cooper, Breanna Esbenshade, Katie Spohn, Jordan Westfield
